Z-Flex LED Modules

The new Z-Flex product series enables large-area lighting and is particularly interesting for luminaire manufacturers, but also for other users. The modules are produced from roll to roll and therefore do not need to be packed individually. This greatly reduces the logistics effort. There is no need for screwing during assembly, because adhesive strips on the back make it easier to attach. In addition, a large part of the cabling effort is eliminated.

The flexible Z-Flex 280×20 LED modules are based on the widespread Zhaga standard of modules with a length of one foot and are therefore compatible with many linear luminaire types.

The flexible matrix modules Z-Flex 280×280, on the other hand, are suitable for large-area applications, such as installation in louvered ceiling luminaires or as background lighting for fabric-covered luminous ceilings.

The 280 x 20 mm Z-Flex modules are ideal for use in narrow industrial or workplace luminaires. On the roll, one self-adhesive module follows the next, making handling during installation much easier. Up to five modules can be operated with one feed. All common light colours are available. There are two variants: With the SELV variant, the low forward voltage guarantees that no voltage flashover can occur on the luminaire housing. The product can therefore be disconnected every 280 mm without risk. Furthermore, no connection of the individual modules is necessary.
The non-SELV version is an efficient and attractively priced solution thanks to its compatibility with non-SELV power supply units. The product can be disconnected every 280 mm – even at high forward voltages. The individual modules are not connected by conducting paths. With the help of a connector the modules can be coupled together.

The flexible Z-Flex modules 280×280 have several advantages over rigid matrix modules. Since production at LUMITRONIX^® is carried out in a roll-to-roll process on the new Flex production line, it is possible to install the self-adhesive modules over an operating length of up to 5.6 metres with one feed. Time-consuming activities such as screwing and cabling are thus a thing of the past. Due to the low voltage of 24 V, the Z-Flex 280×280 LED strips are also safe to touch and there is no risk of voltage flashovers if the Flex modules are separated.

Storage costs and also transport are considerably minimized due to the roll shape. This also proves helpful in terms of saving time when mounting the modules, because conventional matrix LED modules are individually packed in ESD foil as standard, which results in additional work during installation.
The flexible Z-Flex 280×280 matrix modules from Lumitronix are equipped with 49 LEDs per sheet and are available in colour temperatures of 2700 K, 3000 K, 4000 K and 6500 K. Individual assembly and a wide range of LED types are available on request.
